What the heck is the difference?
As weird as it is, they both excel in similar environments and “grow up” to be something different!
They are actually both, types of fungi that love the same things…
Both need moist, humid conditions where there is very little light and both love to grow when spores find their way across your wall; where they can feed off of more and more of their favorite things (organic materials)
BUT…
They both look completely different.
Is usually white or gray that is usually powdery or fuzzy
Mold…
Is usually black, yellow or green in fuzzy or slimy in texture.
As mold grows it releases mycotoxins in the air which are…not good…
But they are both found in…
kitchens, bathrooms, basements, crawl spaces, attics, and garages usually. But this list does not by any means exclude other areas.
Keep rooms like, bathrooms and kitchens sanitized and cleaned frequently.
